2018 Flourish Conference at Paramount Theatre Downtown Denver

The 2018 Flourish Conference took place at the Paramount Theatre. As Cinco de Mayo festivities were going on just blocks away from downtown Denver over 500 women from all over the world including myself were in attendance at a woman’s conference held at the famous Paramount Theatre on the 16th street mall. We had gathered to worship and praise our Heavenly Father and get a word from him. Wow, not only did we worship and praise our father God, we all left with a “New Heart.” (Ezekiel 36:26-27) Our first speaker at Flourish Conference was a Colorado Native that resides in Colorado Springs when she and her husband are not on the road being servants of the Lord. As Lisa Bevere took the stage, many of us were honored to be in her presence. She is a very inspirational Christian evangelist and author. The words she spoke to us were what many of us woman needed to hear. As she began, she spoke of her new book ‘Adamant’ and left us with this “Truth is not a river, the truth is a rock”. (Isaiah 51:1).
Lisa Bevere’s authentic and passionate teachings weave profound biblical truths with practical application. A New York Timesbest-selling author, her books are in the hands of millions worldwide. Lisa and her husband John, who’s also a best-selling author and teacher, are the founders of Messenger International.
Our second speaker was the beautiful daughter of Bishop TD Jakes, the lovely Sarah Jakes Roberts. As she spoke she shared of Eve and how “Eve knew better, but she didn’t do better.” (Genesis 3:12). At that time I could see many of the women at the conference thinking of times they had made a decision knowing it wasn’t right but still made the decision to do what they did not agree in. The presence of the Holy Spirit was in the house.
Sarah Jakes Roberts is a take-charge business-woman, writer and media personality who expertly balances career, ministry and family. She currently serves as the senior editor of eMotions, an online inspirational magazine designed to embrace, educate and empower women. She is also the project manager for the Rx Connection Card and she was responsible for grassroots marketing efforts for the feature film, “Not Easily Broken.”
When we resumed after our lunch session we had the honor to meet a young woman who had been saved from sex trafficking here in the Denver Metro area. This young lady’s testimony was a true miracle of our Heavenly Father. She shared with us her paintings that she uses as her ministry to help others. She was accompanied by a local representative of the Denver Rescue Mission who began a ministry called Covered with Feathers which is a nonprofit organization here in the local Denver area that assists helping young adults and children from sex trafficking and prostitution by giving them resources and at times having to provide a safe house. As our third “meal” was being served to us we were privileged to have Lynette Lewis as our speaker. Lynette is a well known inspirational author who many of us Christian woman have read her books. Her topic was, “How to know your purpose and live your dreams.” She gave us strategies to live our dreams. She also states in order to get moving with a dream you have to use the 1-1-1 strategy. When broken up is 1 dream-1 step- 1 a week even if it’s for 10 mins a day. She left us with this saying. When we live a dream it becomes “my story, your glory” when in God’s will. As the conference was coming to an end our last meal was served by the conference’s host Hannah Oullette who is a beautiful pastor’s wife. She spoke of renewing of the heart. Moving the stones out of our lives. Stones referring to areas we deal with depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and etc.. We concluded service with the wonderful worship Team from Thrive Church here in Denver CO. Here are some pics I took that day. I have more!!
