Dorothy Kirby Center Juvenile Hall Car and Bike Concert was a hit.

In 1976 formerly Las Palmas School for Girls was renamed Dorothy Kirby Center in the City of Commerce, CA in honor of the woman who founded it and served as its Director for 15 years.

On Saturday, May 5th many Churches, Car & Bike Clubs, Evangelists, Hip-Hop, Oldie Singers, and volunteers joined together to give the youth at Dorothy Kirby Center Juvenile Hall a real 'Cinco de Mayo' Car Show Concert organized by Chaplain Ruben Rubalcava. The event was approved by the Los Angeles County Probation Department.

"I am so grateful that Chaplain Ruben invited The S.O.G. Crew (Thump RecordsUniversal Music Group) to work with the children that have been detained at the Kirby Center Facility. According to our biblical beliefs, we are visiting the Lord Jesus in the Juvenile Hall.

Matthew 25:35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

Matthew 25:40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

I love what the Los Angeles Probation department did. They combined a religious program with the Art of Hip-Hop, Music, and a Street Car Club & Bike Culture. It makes a lot of sense that they did this being that the Dorothy Kirby Center has public education for juveniles who are incarcerated in facilities run by county probation departments provided by Juvenile Court Schools.

I have been honored to work with the Los Angeles Unified School District for a few years now thanks to Thomas Heck from The PACE Show School Program that does school presentations in the entire LA County for students with good attendance using the Art of Hip Hop to grab the attention of the students. We just did an event on Friday, May 4th at North Hollywood High School welcoming the middle school students and community to their future school with my dear friend DJ Thomas heck.

The reason I brought up The PACE Show is that the Los Angeles County Probation Department is using the same method of utilizing the ARTS to capture the attention of those detained.

Those enrolled in the Dorothy Kirby Center Juvenile Hall School are managed by staff assigned to the Los Angeles County Office of Education. LACOE focuses on moving at-risk youth toward literacy and academic achievement. Each child attends school year-round, Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays. All schools are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Credits earned are accepted at all high schools, colleges, and universities.

Thanks to New Wine Church, Calvary Chapel La Habra, Calvary Chapel Norwalk, Chosen By Grace Car & Bike Club, United In Him Motorcycle Ministries, all the amazing volunteers, and the entire Los Angeles County Probation Department for supporting Chaplain Ruben Rubalcava and his wife Cindy. This was definitely our way of giving back to God while responding to posterity. These kids are our future.

A special thanks to Dorothy Kirby Center Juvenile Hall Director Michael Varela for his kindness and generosity.

I don't want to finish without giving a shoutout to one of my good friends that joined us at Kirby Center Event. Anthony Villanueva known to The S.O.G. Crew movement as God's Tiger participated at the Car & Bike Show Concert by testifying to the kids. Villanueva a Gang Advocate from the City of Westminster was just in the hospital a few hours before visiting the Kirby Center fighting Leukemia while tests suggest a diagnosis of bone cancer.

When Anthony called me to pick him up I was confused because he was just in the hospital at UCI Medical Center. When he got into the car we just glorified God and prayed for the kids that we were about to visit at Kirby. I didn't mention tests, the hospital, or anything about Bone Cancer. I truly wanted him to be around a revival atmosphere of change in Jesus name. He was a huge blessing to the kids and a walking miracle to all that knew of his health complications. Not only did Anthony join us at Kirby but I took him with me to the Phoenix House Youth Drug Treatment Center in Lake View Terrece, CA for an S.O.G. Crew Hip-Hop concert for the kids' thanks to Victory Outreach. We visited Church leaders from different denominations the entire way back to Orange County thanking them for their prayers for Anthony.

Thanks Chaplain Ruben Rubalcava for letting me Emcee the event for the kids at Dorothy Kirby Center Juvenile Hall and thanks for believing in The S.O.G. Crew," said Dr. Robert Ornelas former Vice Presidential Candidate
