Anaheim Union High School District held its Color and Light 18th Annual Student Art and Photography Exhibition at the MUZEO in Anaheim. School and community members attended the event with live music from the Kennedy High School Jazz Team. The leaders of Color and Light were honored by U.S. Congressman Lou Correa of California before recognizing the students for their excellence in the visual arts. It definitely was a celebration of the student's creative efforts.
The District’s visual arts students got to see their artwork professionally displayed at the MUZEO. Admission to the event was free of charge.
Junior and senior high school artists from across the Anaheim Union High School District submitted an array of artwork – including photography, drawing, painting, and 3-D design pieces – which were judged by a panel of art professionals culminating in an awards ceremony. More than 250+ pieces were displayed at Muzeo for the enjoyment of the public. Sixty-six awards in 25 categories were then presented to student artists.
Event Sponsors: Anaheim Arts Council, Anaheim Hills auxiliary, Assistance League of Anaheim, Anaheim Public Utilities, Anaheim Secondary Council PTA, Fullerton College Art Department, Anna L. Piercy, Board of Trustees, Dan and Leah Winter, Susan Stocks, Ed.D., Director, Special Programs.
